Privacy Policy

Effective August 11, 2026

1. Who We Are

The Dead Pixel Society, LLC ("The Dead Pixel Society," "we," "us," or "our") is a game developer based in Kentucky, USA. This Privacy Policy applies to thedeadpixelsociety.com (the "Website") and our game Fruit Salad (the "Game").

2. The Website

The Website does not offer accounts, forms, comments, purchases, or mailing-list registration. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies to identify or track visitors.

As with any website, hosting and network providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, to deliver and secure the Website. We do not use this information to profile visitors or serve targeted advertising.

3. Fruit Salad and Steam

Fruit Salad uses your Steam ID as needed to work with Steam features. Game progress and settings are stored on your computer. If you enable Steam Cloud, save data may be transferred to and stored by Valve through Steam Cloud. The Dead Pixel Society does not operate a separate game server or database that receives or stores this data.

Steam purchases, accounts, community features, and cloud services are operated by Valve Corporation. Valve processes information under its own Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). Your Steam settings control features such as Steam Cloud.

4. Email Communications

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use that information to respond, provide support, protect our rights, and keep reasonable business records. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or as required by law.

5. Sharing and Selling Information

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information we possess when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, prevent fraud or harm, enforce our agreements, or protect our rights. If the business is reorganized, sold, or transferred, relevant records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

6. Children

The Website and Game are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can disable Steam Cloud through Steam, manage Steam information through your Steam account, and choose what information to include when emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning personal information we hold about you. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Because we do not maintain website accounts or a game-data database, we may have no information that we can identify as yours.

8. International Use

We are based in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your correspondence may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Steam's handling of information is governed by Valve's policies and applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Website, the Game, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Policy here and update its effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively where required by law.

10. Contact Us

Questions or privacy requests may be sent to contact@thedeadpixelsociety.com.
